Norman Motors rebrand - a premium quality car dealership based in Bournemouth & Poole in Dorset.
Established in 1953 by Donald James Norman, Norman Motors carries the distinction of being the oldest family-run motor trade business in Dorset, now its in third successive generation.
Now in its 60th year of trading, Norman Motors are proud to have established a local reputation for supplying the best cars with a personal yet professional customer experience and for excellent quality workmanship on the vehicles they service and repair.
After establishing that Norman Motors is one of Dorset's premier car showrooms, we set our sights on creating a brand that was not only modern and professional, but also spoke of the high quality of service that reflects the business' ethos.
We created a new brand identity that is contemporary, with a classic edge in order to stand the test of time. We added movement with a graphic that would sit alongside the logo, being playful with it's placement and feature throughout all branded material. In addition to the main logo we created a ‘NM’ monogram, which features subtly on material and eventually recognised stand alone representing the Norman Motors brand. By retaining the light blue colouring of the original logo we stuck to it's roots, but added smart and sophisticated greys to sit alongside to heighten the sense of high quality.
Following the successful logo re-design, we looked at stationery and all printed literature along with exterior signage, clothing, car price boards, the list goes on into an all encompassing branding project. Working in conjunction with Norman Motor's programmers, we re-designed the website into a more modern, cutting-edge presence, whilst thinking more about functionality and successful conversion rates. We are currently brand guardians of Norman Motors and continue to work for the company on a regular basis, evolving the brand and ensuring consistency across all their assets.
SCOPE OF WORK
BRANDING / PRINT / ADVERTISING / DIGITAL DESIGN / pHOTOGRAPHY
In addition to generic forecourt imagery as seen above, Norman Motors commissioned us to take a series of bespoke lifestyle imagery illustrating all aspects of the business, from the service centre through to sales and general interior photography. The images were primarily taken to be used on the new website but have since been used on general literature.
